They shall be pure of heart and strong of body, untainted by doubt and unsullied by self-aggrandisement. They will be bright angels of death whose shining wings bring swift annihilation to the enemies of man. So shall it be for a thousand times a thousand years, unto the very end of eternity and the extinction of mortal flesh.

Alright so you want to play crusade? What’s first?
Firstly we need to get a look at the “Order of Battle” a document/sheet of paper available in core rule books and various places online. This is our entire Crusade force, not to be confused with the army we plan to use but the overall force we draw our army from. Here we tally down all the units in our force and other important information regarding supplies, tallies and requisition points.

So having a look at our sheet we can clearly see what makes up the vast majority is the unit names, points value and crusade points columns these are fairly self explanatory but an example might look like :
[Canoness] [50] [1]
[Palatine] [50] [0]
[Battle sister Squad] [100] [2]
Simply the name of the unit followed by their associated points cost (in the app or current matched play game points value) and their Crusade points thus far. Crusade points are a measure of how many upgrades and bonuses the unit has gained as part of your mighty crusade. It will nearly always start at 0 but will increase as your units gain experience in the games you play.
Supply Limit are the current maximum amount of points that are available and Supply Used exactly how many points are currently in your Order of battle. Our Auril Sector Campaign is beginning with 1,000 points.
Battle Tally is how many games you’ve played, Victories how many of that battle tally were in the Win column.
Requistion points [RP] are used to upgrade specific units like enhancements on heroes or it can be used to upgrade the entire crusade force such as increasing your Supply Limit of the Crusade force on your order of battle (allowing you to add more points to your roster for diversity when you create your Crusade Army). A full list of Requisitions is available in the core rule book and even more options in individual publications like the Tyrannic War and Codices.
Your crusade force will always start with 5RP and you gain an additional RP for every game you play whether you win, lose or draw. You can also never have more than 10RP so better to spend them as soon as you can (trust me it won’t be hard).
That’s it for now I’ll be back tomorrow with another dive into our next section the Crusade Cards.
Keep Crusading.
